Undoubtedly, as many other Americans you too many have felt the pinch of health insurance on your pocket. Family health insurance in some states has increased as much as 14 percent and employers are not taking the punch, the extra cost is being passed onto the already stressed out employee. For those who are self-employed, self employed health insurance is becoming almost too expensive pay for and it is expected to get worse before it will get better.

The cost of self employed health insurance has gotten so expensive some who are self-employed or own smaller companies have chosen to go without. Some employers have simply said they can no longer afford to offer health insurance to their employees, and the idea of even having self employed health insurance has become obsolete.

In the state of Arkansas for example, the Arkansas Insurance Department Commissioner stated that while insurance premiums continues to raise steadily, the rate of income increase has only been around five percent. Many in the state who has had to rely on self employed health insurance worry daily that something will happen to a family member requiring they need medical attention. This has become a major concern for many across the nation; so much so most states are scrambling to find a solution to help those without health insurance and self employed health insurance shoulder the burden.
