Whether or not you smoke, your exercise habits and your diet might be what will determine your Health Insurance costs. To make it so healthcare and health insurance can be more affordable, personal decisions may be the means to what health insurance agencies will judge how much people will pay for their insurance. Fair?!? There are pros and cons on this subject!
A lot of physicians, legislators and insurance companies think that people who Really work at having a good diet and exercise program and a good all-around lifestyle should be able to pay less for Affordable Health Insurance.
Trying to get people not to eat junk-food, smoke cigarettes or do other ‘not so good’ things to their bodies has been the sole purpose of getting higher taxes placed on those items. Health problems caused by smoking and the cost of caring for people that have problems because of smoking is around $70 billion dollars a year and about $75 billion has been attributed to obesity linked illnesses. That is not saying that ALL of those illnesses were caused from smoking or obesity caused from lifestyle choices, but a lot of it is. In healthcare and getting Affordable Health Insurance how and why are these factors important? The cost of having bad habits and those costs going down to especially small businesses and consumers is the reason that health costs are going through the roof therefore making it almost impossible to get Affordable Health Insurance for most Americans.
Is the government getting involved what we want? Personal responsibility is not something new, just not something a lot of people want to take. Maybe not being able to get Affordable Health Insurance will inspire people to quit smoking, exercise more and eat healthier food and just not for the Insurance but for themselves and wanting to live!
Every American should be rest assured that their loved ones and themselves will be protected in the event of a medical emergency.
