Affordable Health Insurance and 'Unhealthy Employees' |

To encourage their employees to engage in healthy behaviors, some employers use rewards like $30 to $40 every two weeks if employees are really working to lower their weight, blood pressure or cholesterol BUT, how about taking away $30 to $40 every two weeks if employees are not actively doing anything to meet healthy standards!?!
Although it is legal for employers to use monetary incentives to encourage healthy lifestyles, it seems to me that it is giving employers way too much control over their employees! Affordable Health Insurance should not be controlled by the employer!
A lot of times, people have medical conditions or take prescriptions that cause them to have swelling or gaining of weight that they have No control over but are getting Negatively charged because of it.
Make sure what the details are in the Insurance Policy that you have at work and if these Incentives ---- Positive or Negative ---- are in that Policy make sure that if you have any Medical Conditions or take Prescriptions that may cause adverse reactions that your employer knows about them Before you sign on for their insurance!! |
